Hey everyone! Apologies for posting a second update today but wanted your opinions on how the cards will look again. On the last update, it was mentioned that hiding the item title and typing and just having the art on one face could be positive as you can hand them out to your players without them seeing what the item truly is. 

So I was wondering, what layout do you guys prefer? The original? The minimalist style with only artwork on one face and the item mechanics on the back? The artwork and and restrictive nature on the front with the mechanics on the back? Any other ideas? 

Obviously the cards are to be used in conjunction with the book, so you will have the full item descriptions available if needed? Just some ideas. This is a project for you guys as much as it is for me. So let me know what you would like.

Hey guys, I know I normally wait a couple of days between updates but I wanted to thank you for unlocking the stretch goal allowing me to commission a few new pieces of art from the artists involved with the book. Next up is the story and plot hook items. I'm looking forward to adding those! They're simple but very fun. Even if you don't use them for adding to your story they can drive your players' imaginations wild. 

I also wanted to share with you a mock up of the item cards (and a new item too). I'm wanting to keep them pretty simple so they're fit for purpose. I hate it when games decorate their cards with all sorts of swirls and fancy borders etc as it distracts from the purpose.

Hopefully you guys like the simplicity of them. I am open to design changes if everyone hates them. But I'm happy with keeping them simple and fit for use. Remember, every physical copy of the book comes with a set of physical cards for one race and one class.

The final stretch

Hey everyone. Here we are. The final week. When I launched this campaign I never thought it would reach this level. I didn't think I would have over 3000 people be interested. So thank you all. So very much. 

Last week we took a bit of a break from stretch goals as they were starting to burn me out and I didn't want to bloat the book for the sake of it, but into the final week its always fun to have something to aim for so I am adding a few more. 

At £150,000 funding, I will be getting 3 full page artwork pieces commissioned for use as splash pages to  help break up the different sections of the book a bit. This one should be pretty easy to unlock. 

At £175,000 funding, I will be including in the book 50 items that I think will add a bit more depth and flavour to your campaigns. Little items that could act as plot hooks for side quests or even full blown stories. One of my favourite ways of playing with my players is give them a random fluff item with a vaguely mysterious description and listen to them conspire about what it could be. I then use some of their ideas with my own in the story and it makes them feel smart that they were correct. It's good fun. 

At £200,000 funding I will be including a digital copy of every single magic item card to all backers. Whether you are a pdf only backer or a retailer tier backer. Everyone will get a copy. This can be used to print out paper tokens to give to players, or can be used on digital platforms like roll20 and fantasy grounds. 

Fingers crossed we unlock them all!

Hey guys, hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Today's update has 2 parts. 

Firstly, here is the stat block and artwork for another of the spirit beasts. This time, an elephant. Hope you guys enjoy it. Just so you know, not every beast will have artwork, as I don't want to have to use a full page for every single one as this will just bloat the size of the book. I'd say around half of them will have artwork. 

Secondly, the pledge manager is currently being organised and surveys are being prepped. What I have decided to do, is for everyone who has backed for a physical copy of the book, will be able to select any addons they want, without increasing the shipping costs. So you can add additional books or as many cards as you would like, without worrying about extra costs to get them sent out to you. For those of you who have pledged for the digital copy, or to gain access to the pledge manager, ordinary shipping costs will apply if you'd like any physical items. But note: these shipping costs will be exactly the same as those who have pledged for a physical book. 

I also wanted to show a couple of items that will be added to the addon shop. Most people will not be interested in these, but I have had a handful of people ask about them from my previous small campaign. You will be able to add to your order a 5e Spell sleuth- spell slot tracker for DnD in your choice of colour and token options. Additionally, I am also making available, the dice tower/box I made last time also. These will also incur no additional shipping costs.

Hey everyone. Thank you all for being so supportive yesterday when I mentioned Stretch goals would be taking a bit of a break for now. I was expecting a bit of backlash so to see all of the lovely comments was heartwarming. 

I realised today its been a while since I have shared any items with you all, so today I am sharing one of the item sets. It may seem a bit OP, but it is legendary after all! Haha. I hope you guys enjoy it and have a great weekend! 

P.S. Feel free to Share this campaign with your gamer friends! I honestly won't mind! Haha
