Hello everyone. I thought I would post an update because I have had over 10 messages in the last 2 days regarding the shipping of the books. I thought I had explained the process well enough in the past but maybe not, or maybe people didn't read my comments so I will outline everything again now. 

Yes, the books arrived in my facility 3 weeks ago. No you have not got your books yet.

Firstly, 3 weeks is not enough time for me to package up and ship out over 5000 hardbacks. 

Secondly, the books will not be sent out until the cards arrive from the printers. The cards are being sent with the books. The reason the cards were priced as they were, was because I was shipping them with the books so I did not have to charge shipping costs. The cards were being sent out at cost to you guys. (This was based on prices from the printer that went out of business due to Covid. The prices for the cards are now higher so I am actually losing money getting the cards made so I do not want to pay for a second batch of postage that wasn't budgeted for in the first place). 

I have 3 people who will be helping me package the books up once we are in the position to do so.

I understand the original estimated time for the book being delivered was December. However, the book ended up being almost double in size due to stretch goals, the cards were an additional stretch goal that ended up being almost as much work as the book itself and a Global Pandemic struck affecting every business and supply chain going.  Also a reminder: I am the only person involved with this project. I am not a large company with multiple staff members and departments.

I am waiting on the cards, as soon as they arrive with me I will let you know. Then everything will be sorted and labelled and packaged up for shipping. Then the freight company will come and collect all of the books in one go and distribute them for me. This is the only way I can ship them affordably. (I am actually losing quite a bit of money from shipping due to Brexit increasing the prices of international parcels by around 20%). 

The digital cards will be with you all soon as well, so you can print your own if you so wish. The issue is when I originally made the files for the cards, they had to be formatted in a particular way for printing. Every side of every card had its own page. The colours had to be suitable for print, not digital. Every card had a bleed edge for cutting, this looks awful so I am in the middle of reformatting every single card to be more suitable for you guys. When I am done they will be usable on roll20 and fantasy grounds as well. 

I understand people are keen to get their hands on the books. Believe me, I am just as keen to get them sent out. It will be a lot of stress off my shoulders and I can start to relax a little once that has happened.  For those of you who only pledged for a physical copy and have asked about getting a digital one, I will be adding it to my drivethrurpg store page for download. I will send a coupon code to everyone who pledged for a physical only copy, so they can purchase the PDF at a discounted rate that matches the Kickstarter tier for the physical and digital combo. 

One last thing, people are still unsure how to update their addresses after moving. You need to log into your backerkit account and change it there. I can not do this for you.

Hey everyone. I hope you are all well and healthy. I come to you with a small request if you can entertain me for a few moments. 

Throughout my time with this campaign, I have been approached by well over 100 other kickstarter campaigns requesting promotion or assistance by posting about them to help them gain traffic etc. I have always politely declined these offers as this is my project and I wanted to keep everyone who backed free from pointless advertisements that are not related etc. 

I'm afraid that has changed today. My dad has lost his job and has a mortgage and family to provide for, so he has launched his very first kickstarter campaign.

Good day everyone. I hope you're well. I was called this morning very early by a lovely eastern European Gentleman with a very strong accent to ask for access to my warehouse.  The books have arrived! 

They have been transported much quicker than I anticipated (especially with how things are currently going with imports/exports in the UK).  I'm just waiting on the item cards to arrive and then I can start boxing everything up for shipping. 

Thank you all for persevering with me during this process. Firstly it was my first time ever doing anything like this. Secondly, it got much bigger than I ever could have imagined and thirdly, the global pandemic has thrown several issues at me which have required major restructure. 

To anyone who needs to change their shipping address, you can log into your backerkit account and change it there. Your orders may be locked but the addresses are not. I'll be locking them once the cards arrive as that will be when I begin shipping.

My copies have arrived!

Good morning everyone. So happy to say the first couple of books have been delivered to me and I have them in hand. I am so happy with them.  The quality is great! The rest of the books are being sent out next week so I should have them early March. 

The cards are going to print on Monday.  Obviously we had to change printing companies for the cards as the original company I was using in Germany had to close down due to Covid etc. The new printers are based in China and they have just had some time off for their annual celebrations. So they are going to be printing them next week. For now,  let me show you some images I have just taken of the books. 

I'll update again when the shipment arrives. :)

Hey guys, apologies for the lack of update over the last month. This is in part down to 2 reasons.

1. I have been having a hard time with my mental health and motivation has been low.

2. There hasn't really been anything to update you on until this morning.

The printer has been in touch with me and shared the first pics of the books with me. The standard cover books have been printed, the limited covers are being done today and tomorrow. 

He sent me the following images that I can share with you. 

I should be receiving a copy of the standard and limited cover in the next few days so I will share more images when I get my hands on them and the full shipment will be sent next week sometime.
